Windows in apartments, office buildings and corner cafes were draped with the French flag on Friday in a rare display of patriotism as France remembered the victims of the Nov. 13 Paris attacks.

French President Francois Hollande called on the nation to display the flag outside their homes and businesses on the national day of mourning, France 24 reported. In Paris, he led a service for the victims of the attacks, which left 130 people dead and hundreds more wounded.
