Sony Sells VAIO Division, Restructures TV Business




Sony has sold its PC business, operated under the VAIO brand, to Japanese investment fund Japan Industrial Partners (JIP), the company has announced

Sony will also spin off its TV business, which has been generating losses in the last couple of years, into a separate, wholly-owned subsidiary by July 2014.
