A teary-eyed Audra McDonald accepted her record-breaking sixth Tony Award — the most of any actor ever — on Sunday night for her role as Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill. The history-making moment was among the many highlights inside New York’s Radio City Music Hall, broadcasted live on CBS. CBS News The awards show got off to a hoppin’ start with Hugh Jackman. The evening’s host entered Radio City Music Hall hopping his way from the city streets, down the aisles and then backstage where he proceeded to meet the cast members from many of today’s biggest Broadway shows. Twitter Jordan Rath, president of Jujamcyn Theaters in New York City and CEO/founder of Culturalist, a social network focused on Top 10 lists, was also busy live-tweeting before and during the Tonys. Some of his tweets include: “Red Carpet Realness! #TonyAwards” (with a photo of a huge group of photographers from the media), as well as “Standing ovation for Isabelle Stevenson Award Winner @Rosie O’Donnell! #TonyAwards.”
