On either sides of the Atlantic, two old-school socialists have bushwhacked their way to the spotlight of their respective election cycles — defying the notion that U.S. and British left-wing voters hug too close to the center for their fiery brand of politics.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYOFFS: University of Alabama Tops Facebook Polls

AlabamaCrimsonTideLogo650The match-up for the College Football Playoff National Championship Game Presented by AT&T, to be played Jan. 12 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, will be determined by two New Year’s Day bowl games: the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Northwestern Mutual, pitting the University of Oregon against Florida State University; and the Allstate Sugar Bowl, in which the University of Alabama will take on Ohio State University. But which of the final four teams sits atop the Facebook polls?

According to PageData, the Crimson Tide of Alabama boasts the most likes, the most likes added during the past seven days, and the highest people talking about this total.

Perhaps due to holiday distractions, the Facebook pages for all four teams saw sharp drops in PTAT over the past seven days.
