According to Forbes’ Jeff Bercovici, Sladden was planning to leave in July, but opted to depart earlier given the reorganization.
Twitter Media has been successful in drawing in new users thanks to the platform’s integration with other media. “You won’t see a major network television ad campaign or TV show without some sort of Twitter branding or hashtag associated with it,” wrote Mike Isaac on Medium. “Twitter’s Media team is great at getting new people to use Twitter, but doesn’t worry about whether those people will keep using Twitter.”
