LONDON — Some 10,000 Minecraft fans descended on the Excel centre over the weekend for the Minecon 2015, a two-day celebration of all things Minecraft from the game’s publishers Mojang.

Over the course of the event, game developers offered hints on customising the basic version, YouTubers explained how they grow audiences for their how-to videos, and panels revealed plans for using Minecraft as an education tool in schools. There was a trailer for the forthcoming Minecraft: Story Mode and 15 minute demos of the game on Microsoft’s Hololens for a handful of lucky punters. Read more…
