Making your employees happier and more likely to recommend your organization as a great place to work could be as easy as providing free lunch.

At Ragan Communications, we have the luxury of being able to work from home.

But on days when the company orders lunch, almost everyone comes into the office.

Free food!

But according to an infographic from EAT Club, offering lunch as an employee perk can do more than just bring employees into the office. It can increase employee productivity, boost longevity, and encourage employees to recommend the organization to others.

Let’s look at some numbers:

  • Seventy percent of employees whose organizations provide free lunch are more likely to recommend the organization as a great place to work.
  • Fifty-four percent of employees who get free lunches are more likely to stay with the organization.
  • Forty-nine percent of employees say they would be more productive if their organizations provided lunch.
  • Forty-six percent of employees say free lunches would help them focus better.
