Charlie Sheen is known for making headlines and the latest one is quite surprising. The actor known for winning and Two and a Half-Men is announcing that he is HIV positive on the Today Show in tomorrow’s morning edition.
However, Sheen’s ex girlfriend Bree Olson has responded to rumors that she has HIV after news spread that her former boyfriend has contracted the disease, according to JustJared.
“There are speculations circling that one of my ex boyfriends from years ago may have contracted the HIV virus. They are rumors and I know nothing more than anyone else,” the 29-year-old wrote. “I, myself have been to my gynecologist at least once a year since we split up and have always been tested across the board for everything and have came back clean across the board every time.”
Bree was one of the 50-year-old actor’s “goddesses” who lived in his home years ago. “Call me Jon Snow. I know nothing,” she added about his potential diagnosis.
According to top Hollywood publicist and crisis manager Howard Bragman, he was approached by people close to Sheen six months ago to deal with the crisis, but never dealt with him directly. “The interview could open up a lot of sympathy for him, but he has to be concerned about a fear of litigation from former sexual partners. You don’t take that lightly.”
Bragman says to People he was informed that Sheen “is getting treatment, and a lot of people in his life know about it.”
In related news, a source told Access Hollywood that Sheen’s ex-wife, Denise Richards, has known Sheen had the disease for a “number of years.”
A source close to Richards told Access Hollywood that theactor contracted the disease in the years after he and Richards divorced in 2006. Sheen and Richards have “not been intimate” since the divorce, the source added.
Sheen, 50, who in 2011 lost his starring role on Two and a Half Men amidst a notorious public meltdown, has remained largely out of the spotlight after FX decided not to renew his most recent show Anger Management, in late 2014. In his personal life, it was announced in October 2014 that he and adult film star Brett Rossi ended their eight-month engagement.
