U.S. Added 13,070 Franchise Jobs in November

The ADP Franchise Employment Report for November 2013 reveals just one segment of American franchises feasting on the year-end opportunities: restaurants. Overall, though, it was a disappointing month for franchises compared with the trends of the last six months.

Across all categories, there were 13,000 new franchise jobs created across the country, but that’s nearly 6,000 off the pace of the previous half year. Auto parts franchises had one of the more difficult months, and few of the other categories posted positive growth trends.

As the infographic makes clear, restaurants were the saving grace of franchise performance. The workforce and franchise owners and investors will be hoping December brings holiday turnarounds across the board. November lowered the bar a bit, so stay tuned to this and future ADP releases for more detailed (and hopefully more merry) information.
