Study Reveals Adults Are Texting While Driving Even More Than Teens

Contrary to conventional wisdom, it turns out that adults are worse than teenagers when it comes to texting while driving

That’s according to the results of a survey conducted by AT&T and published in USA Today, showing that 49% of adult drivers admit to texting behind the wheel. Compare that with 43% of the teen respondents admitting that they text while driving.

The most troublesome part of the survey of 1,011 adult drivers: A surprising 60% of the adult respondents said that three years ago, they never texted while driving. And it’s not surprising that 98% of the adult respondents said they knew texting or emailing while driving was unsafe. Read more…
