SavedPlus Charges a “Savings Tax” On All Your Purchases

Share

Android/iOS: We’ve featured apps before that save your spare change when you buy stuff. If you want to save a bit more aggressively, however, SavedPlus lets you set aside a custom percentage on top of your purchase price.

Most of us already mentally adjust for sales tax when we make a purchase. SavedPlus capitalizes on this mindset by taking away a percentage of your choosing to add to your savings. It can be so low you barely notice, or high enough that it causes you to give high-value purchases a second thought.

The app ties into your bank services, so it’s not just a superficial change, either. The app will automatically transfer money from your checkings account to a destination savings account after every purchase. Presumably, this can be within the same banking service, or an entirely different bank.
