The devastation wrought by tornadoes in Oklahoma dominated Storify stories this week, as the winds cut a path of destruction across middle America

The week began with the sad news of tornadoes sweeping through Oklahoma. As reports came in, the scale of the damage grew more apparent of the scale of the tragedy that left at least 24 people dead, including 10 children.

Amid the loss and sadness, there were also many amazing stories of rescues due to the hard work of emergency personnel, providing signs of hope amid the destruction as collected by the Star Tribute of Minnesota
