Here’s where the industry is now, and where it will likely be next year and beyond. How do your efforts compare?
Does it provide employees who aren’t desk-bound with ways to easily communicate with their co-workers?
Are you satisfied with the way you measure your internal communications efforts?
If you answered “no” to any of these questions, you’re not alone.
An infographic from Newsweaver explains how internal communicators feel about their efforts, and predicts where the industry will be in the next few years. Here are a few of the findings:
- Fifty percent of internal communicators say their companies don’t invest enough in internal communications.
- More than four in five companies haven’t found a way to digitally communicate with their offline employees, but almost one in two organizations plan to invest in internal social media tools and intranets.
- Three in five organizations allow workers to access company content on their personal devices, but 50 percent of employers will require employees to supply their own devices for work by 2017.
- More than two in three communicators are not satisfied with their ability to measure their efforts.
