Are you tired of traditional conferences with their endless PowerPoint presentations?
Are you ready for something new?
Ragan Communications’ CEO Mark Ragan is holding two invitation-only roundtables in Chicago and New York City for social media professionals.
We like to call these forums “group therapy for communicators.”
They are limited to 25 participants willing to honestly exchange social media tips, tactics and strategies that work for them.
The events will be held in two cities: Chicago on March 27-28, and New York City on April 24-25.
So, how does it work?
It all begins with a pre-event survey.
We’ll ask you to list your greatest challenges at work, problems you’d like to overcome, dreams you’d like to achieve and successes you’ve already notched. Ragan and Sam Hosenkamp, Ragan Communications’ social media director, will then draw up an agenda for a day-and-a-half of brainstorming, networking, problem-solving and benchmarking. You’ll:
- Hear what works for other organizations.
- Benchmark your efforts against other social media professionals.
- Fill a notebook with tips, ideas and strategies from your peers.
- Gain new friends and colleagues in the industry.
Oh, yes. Then there’s the bit about group therapy.
The event includes two cocktail parties, a dinner, and if you register for the Chicago Forum, an evening at the famed Second City comedy club.
You are free to rant, get things off your chest and commiserate with colleagues who are just like you. We won’t tell anyone.
If this sounds appealing, reach out to Ragan on LinkedIn:
There is a registration fee. But take our word for it: It’s far less expensive than a shrink, and far more satisfying. And we won’t make you talk about your mother.
So put down that Xanax and join us for some stress-relieving professional development.
You deserve a hug.
