Director Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic film “Interstellar” comes out this Friday, and critics have already given the film glowing reviews.
That’s great news for moviegoers, who will spend nearly three hours watching Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway navigate through space to save Earth.

SpaceX is looking for a manager of guest operations and events. The position’s opening line sets up the opportunity pretty well: “Work to advance the course of human history and pave the way to Mars.”
The company’s ultimate goal is to enable people to live on other planets, so although “space cowboy” might not be printed on the successful candidate’s business card, the title might not be that far off.
Elon Musk, the company’s CEO and chief tech officer, further explained its space technologies, which include building, manufacturing, and launching both rockets and spacecraft:
SpaceX is like Special Forces—we do the missions that others think are impossible. We have goals that are absurdly ambitious, but we’re going to make them happen. We have the potential here at SpaceX to have an incredible effect on the future of humanity and life itself.
The position includes managing guest operations at both commercial and government launches, as well as developing all aspects of event strategy. Candidates will work with internal teams as well as guest VIPs and other sponsors.
In case Musk’s explanation didn’t give you the hint, this job isn’t for the faint of heart. Candidates should have at least 10 years of experience in marketing or events, as well as a successful track record of managing high-profile events.
