Twitter’s new business model: Allowing crazy John Bolton to ask me idiotic questions about Obama

It’s rare I visit the actual Twitter.com site to view my feed, so this might be old news. But, if so, time hasn’t dulled its grossness.

As the latest scheme in its search for revenue models, Twitter is now apparently allowing prominent users (and advertisers) to harvest user email addresses through idiotic surveys, apparently targeted to their interests.

In my case, that takes the form of former ambassador and current Fox news spewing-head John Bolton paying to ask me “Do you believe Obama is the worst President Ever?”

Earlier this afternoon this monstrosity appeared on top of my Twitter feed:

On one hand, I’m encouraged by John Bolton wanting to improve his understanding of history through this kind of research.

That said, given Bolton worked for Ronald Reagan — during which time he worked on opposing reparations to Japanese-Americans held in World War II internment camps — and George W. Bush — who made the vehemently anti-UN Bolton his ambassador to the UN — if Bolton doesn’t already know what makes a terrible foreign policy president, I’m just not sure this Twitter poll is going to help him.
