Food trucks may have been around in the 1960′s, but they were not the type of food trucks that people were willing to wait on a huge line for, or the type of place that they would eat for lunch or even for dinner! The food truck industry has exploded over the past 10 years, with gourmet and specialty food trucks popping up all around the U.S.
There are currently over 3 million food trucks in the U.S. in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, Austin, and Boston. But, you can find them in small cities as well as major cities. The cost of opening a food truck is more affordable than a restaurant and it still allows chefs to show off their culinary skills.
