Management can be defined as the organization and coordination of the activities of a business in order to achieve defined objectives. The new management style is quite different from the traditional system. In the traditional system, the company controls each result, believes employees are the cause of problems, and motivates employees by fear of failure, and addresses crises as they happen. The new management style believes in promoting teamwork, refining existing processes for improvement, and keeping employees invested by having them more involved in the creative process.

New management styles offer less hierarchy, embrace human nature, and don’t treat humans as machines. Today’s top companies focus on promoting teamwork and creativity and boosting overall employee happiness. Google, for example, offers employees free rental cars for running errands, free child care, hair cuts, gourmet food, on-site gyms, laundry services, shuttle service, and oil changes. Employees can bring their pets to work and enjoy free beer and wine on Fridays.

Just a few other major companies that offer great perks include Zappos, DreamWorks Animation, and Facebook. Facebook has its own campus (called its own little city), which features a candy shop, bank, dentist’s office, doctor’s office, gym, coffee shop, Mexican restaurant, pizzeria, and more!
