Telling Your SMW13 Story: Meet StoryStream

Sue Monk Kidd said, “Stories have to be told or they die, and when they die, we can’t remember who we are or why we’re here.”

We agree. Surfacing all the incredible stories from our more than 35,000 attendees each SMW is a hard task; something we continually strive to be better at. We know that your experiences during the week are valuable and we want to hear them. From Dean McBeth’s engagement last year to Garden of Alibis launching a European tour to the job offers that happen on a regular basis, they are all important.

This year to help us highlight what’s coming out of SMW13 from YOUR perspective, we’ve partnered with StoryStream as our Official Storytelling Partner. StoryStream is a real-time content insight, curation and publishing platform that allows brands to create live experiences that are proven to drive engagement and amplify conversation. They have a pretty impressive pedigree, working with companies like Porsche, Getty Images and of course, our favorite company Nokia.

While just a year old, this UK startup is leading the real-time content marketing space by creating innovative tools that help content marketers embrace live storytelling.

This SMW13, you can follow along, just go here. Also, because of StoryStream’s responsive design, we’ve been able to seamlessly integrate it into our Official SMW Mobile App. Share your story with us!

“We are thrilled to be working as the Official Social Media Week Storytelling Partner. Our mission is to help brands connect with customers by telling good stories and we are excited to be able to help tell the story of Social Media Week through the StoryStream Connected Hub. We will be bringing together all the great content created across the eight cities all week long, allowing people to follow the key themes discussed and provide a window into each city, something never done before.” – Alex Vaidya, Co-founder of StoryStream
