For six months, the marketing software company BuzzStream and the content creators at Fractl teamed up to track and analyze 220,000 pieces of content. What was their goal? To learn which formats earn the most social shares.
Here’s some of what they discovered:
• Content types perform differently based on the month and the vertical
• Evergreen content, like “why-posts,” earn the most consistent number of shares month over month
• Risky formats, like “what-posts,” can attract huge share numbers – or fall flat
Putting their findings to good use, the two companies created today’s featured infographic. Their hope is that it will help strategists determine the optimal month, vertical and format for all of their content in 2015. Check out the infographic below, folks!
