To honour those who are deemed ‘best-in-class’ Retail Touch Points have announced the winners of their Social Media Maven Awards 2015 where they looked at how brands were using social media in innovative ways to improve their engagement, service and selling strategies.
Social media used to be a tiny fraction of retailers marketing focus (and spend) but now it is at the heart of so many things that they do. Now businesses are focussing on building up their social profiles and pushing out messages more than ever before and the rules of engagement have totally changed. The very best retailers are using social media in innovative ways to improve their engagement, service and selling strategies.
Retailers were nominated based on one or more of the following criteria:
• Overall social strategy
• Best use of up-and-coming social channels
• A specific social campaign
• The role of social in an omnichannel campaign
• Social customer service strategies
• Integration of social media into the store
• The ability to identify and leverage social advocates
• Use of social analytics
The winners included small and larger companies, and some start-ups who although with a wide variety of product and service offerings, really stood out in terms of their social media strategies. The winners listed here covered everything from accessories and clothing to cosmetics and office supplies.
They are definitely one’s to watch.
