Internet marketing experts Murray Newlands and John Rampton recently released their new book “Performance Marketing for Professionals,” an all-inclusive introduction and step-by-step guide to online marketing success.
“Performance Marketing for Professionals“ covers everything from affiliate marketing and email marketing to SEO and offers hands-on industry experience and expert insights from Newlands and Rampton, as well as a host of other Internet marketing leaders.
We sat down with author Murray Newlands to talk a bit more about the book and find out why this book is THE online marketing roadmap for professionals!
So for those who haven’t read the book yet, what exactly can they expect to find inside?
Pretty much anything that has to do with online marketing. We tried to cover all of our bases, and since John and I both have expertise in different parts of online marketing, I think we managed to do that. And we also have guest sections from people who are experts in their respective niches, such as Parker Powers, Scott Richter, Adam Riemer, Oliver Roup, and more. Readers can expect to find anything from how to get started as an affiliate to expert tips on email design and SEO.
Why did you write it?
Everybody in the Internet marketing industry could stand to learn something, and we wanted to provide that all-inclusive resource. Internet marketing is very segmented in the sense that people are really good at doing one small, specific task within the industry, but may not know the basics of another part, so we tried to bridge that gap. For example, if you are a master at media buying, you may not know the first thing about email marketing; well if you read our book, that will no longer be the case.
Why do people need to read it?
It’s fresh, it offers up-to-date, relevant examples, and everybody who contributed to it is an expert in their respective field. And it’s a great resource for everybody in the industry, whether you are just starting out, or you’ve been active online for ten years. With a business that evolves alongside the ever-changing landscape that is the Internet, things are always advancing and there are always new things to learn, and this book has the most up-to-the-minute information you’ll find in one place.
What should experienced Internet marketers expect to get out of it though?
They can expect to learn some new tricks, or maybe even add to their existing arsenal. When you’ve been doing something for a long time, sometimes you become complacent or get stuck in your ways, and hopefully this book will help veteran marketers get some new ideas or motivate them to venture into a new space. Yes, there is a lot of introductory content in the book, but there are also a lot of tips from experts who have years of experience as well, or specialize in a particular area, so there is definitely something for everybody.
