Do you stare at planes flying overhead and wonder where their passengers are headed? These animated British Airways billboards designed by Ogilvy 12th Floor feature children pointing upward at each passing jet along with the relevant flight information. The custom-built flight surveillance technology only points out British Airways flights – a little disappointing, but that’s how advertising works.
Installed at Piccadilly Circus and Chiswick in London, the billboards are part of British Airways’ “Magic of Flying” campaign, a push to remind people how magical flying is, especially for children. The kid on the billboard definitely does the trick: kudos to the coder who got his finger to perfectly follow each plane’s movement!
