iOS 8 Will Allow External Keyboards, Including One Of Only GIFs

PopKey, a keyboard application for iOS 8, allows you to send GIFs in text message threads for any situation, any reaction, and any awkward moment. You can browse by reactions, or search by keyword all within the iMessage screen using PopKey, which will drastically cut down the time of sending in-text GIFs, which most people complete via Safari or Chrome. No release date of the keyboard app has been announced, but you can go ahead and sign up on PopKey’s website, and join the rest of us waiting in line.

We’ve seen a huge shift in text, copy, and messaging with so many individuals using emoji to express themselves. Emoji are, in a sense, a universal language. GIFs require a bit more context than emoji, but provide more options and creativity for users. With an app like PopKey, which will likely find itself on iMessage screens around the globe, we should expect to see a whole new type of content from our closest friends.
