Infographic: How to make your visual content more engaging

Most organizations are on the visual content bandwagon these days. Here’s how to make your photos, videos, infographics and other visuals stand out from the rest.

People remember 80 percent of what they see and 20 percent of what they read, an infographic by HubSpot says.

Visual content is the best way to ensure that customers will receive and engage with your messages. As more organizations create videos, infographics, photos and gifs, it becomes increasingly important for yours to stand apart.

The infographic shares some tips for creating content that engages as many people as possible. Here are a few:

1. Choose a topic your audience will be interested in. For ideas, find out which keywords customers search for, or ask customer service representatives what customers’ biggest concerns are.

2. Decide on a format. Will you create an infographic, shoot a video or snap a photo? Decide which format will explain your message best.

3. Create an attractive design. Carefully consider colors, typography, layout, negative space and other elements to ensure that your design is appealing.
