If a Facebook executive calls an Uber car, is it a one-way trip? Following in the footsteps of former Facebook Public Policy Manager Andrew Noyes, who left the social network for the private driving service startup in May, Facebook Head of International Growth Ed Baker joined Uber as head of growth.
Prior to Facebook, Baker was co-founder and CEO of friend.ly, which was acquired by the social network in October 2011.
Uber also announced the hiring of Google Vice President, Treasurer, and Chief Accountant Brent Callinicos as chief financial officer, and Klout Chief Operating Officer Emil Michael as senior VP of business.
