When you’re booking a multi-night stay at a hotel, you probably book it as one reservation. If you book each night individually, you might get a better rate.
Over at One Mile at a Time, they compared some popular hotels and found that it’s more expensive to book your room as one reservation:
Always remember to check the individual nightly rates when booking a hotel, as it can save you a lot of cash. While hotels are supposed to charge you based on the average nightly rate, that doesn’t always happen in practice.
They mention that if you book your rooms all at once, the hotel might stick you in a more expensive room for all the nights. If you try individual reservations for each night, you might get a deal on a cheaper room for one of those nights. You’ll probably have to switch rooms during your stay, but if the savings are significant, it might be worth the hassle.
