Ben Carson: A Muslim should not be president




Just days after Donald Trump side-stepped a rally attendee’s accusation that President Obama is a Muslim, GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson said during an appearance on Meet That Press that he would not support a Muslim being president.

Responding to a question about whether or not faith should matter to voters, Carson responded that as long as one’s faith “fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution, then no problem.” On a follow up from host Chuck Todd about Islam, Carson responded, “I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation.
