Mother’s Day is just around the corner (Sunday 15th March – put it in your diaries!!) And while a home-made card and some freshly picked flowers from next door’s garden used to cut the mustard, now it’s only fair that the women who birthed us can expect a little more. So whether it’s a pampering treatment or a trip away, we’ve collected five retreats that will have her (almost) forgetting about the painful labour, those moody teenage years and that tattoo she discovered last Christmas…
The Treatment: Rose Cocoon Spa at The Dorchester
All mothers love flowers – and with this ultra-relaxing and indulgent treatment then not only will you come out smelling of roses, but her skin will be nourished by them. The hour long Rose Cocoon treatment begins with a gentle olive grain exfoliation followed by a luxuriant wrap of warmed rose gel, oil and cream, intended to work on capillary circulation while lifting emotions. The damask rose renews the skin, and a scalp massage will melt away any remaining stress. We recently experienced it first hand and can completely vouch for the divine therapeutic qualities and super effect on our skin. Sound too good to let her have all the fun? Then why not make the most of Mother’s Day by booking The Dorchester Spa Break. This includes champagne in The Spatisserie, an Aromatherapy Associates experience for two (so you can both be rose-nourished together) and a night in a Superior King Room.
The Rose Cocoon is £120 for an hour long treatment, while the Spa Break Package is £665. Find out more here
