As we close out another SMW, powered by Nokia, we want to thank you. Thank you for helping us build and create yet another successful Social Media Week.
We saw over 1000 events, with more than 25,000 attendees participating in 8 cities around the globe. The week was inspirational, humorous and helped us connect in unique ways.
Virgin’s Richard Branson joined us for an intimate Q&A with London entrepreneurs. Andrés Pastrana Arango, the former president of Colombia, launched a presidential digital library full of archives detailing his work with cartels. Larry King hosted George Takei on his show, treating SMW attendees to a lot of humor and insight from one of social media’s most influential celebs. SMW debuted in India, and we sent 10 individuals around the world to have a truly unique and global experience with SMW13. We invited you to challenge your friends and colleagues to a short game of air hockey with Nokia Puck (you still can show off your skills…).
Through it all, we wanted to take SMW13 deeper and give you more opportunities to see the heart and vision of what Social Media Week is. We hope you had as great of an experience as we did.
As we reflect back on the week, we ask for your feedback. We want to continually improve with each edition of SMW, making it better for you each time.
Please take 5 minutes to complete our survey here – we’ll be giving away one Nokia Lumia 1020 prize, and will be incorporating your feedback into how we shape SMW14.
Thank you again – for your time, for your participation, your enthusiasm and for being a part of SMW13.
A very special thank you to our Local City Organizers and our Global Headline Sponsor, Nokia. SMW wouldn’t be what it is without them. Kudos to Tubefilter, The Chicago Tribune and 435 Digital, Social Media Week e.V., Zócalo Group, Chinwag, R SQUARE Consulting, boo-box and IQ, Zemoga, and Entrinsic.
